I want to revise to refill inkjet cartridges for my
HP. printer . Do they hold a chip in them if so how do I reset it. and will it mar my printer to refill the cartridges.

HP cart's don't own chips. Instead it has a complicated series of nouns bleeding valves contained by the cart that can really mess up your printer if done properly.
Any refill tools would have proper instructions. Available at almost any Office superstore, or even some Walgreens pharmacies.
Harming your printer... solely if you refill it wrong, and it starts leak all over your printer.
I importantly suggest you don’t refill your tape. I've done it before and did not own a positive result. First, the quality of the print is extremely low; abundantly of smudges. Second, it's a waste of money and time and let not forget the inevitable mess.
