how much does the average printer cost?
An average hp inkjet is around 80-100 depending also depends on the extra features resembling scanning and copying. Laser printers are much more.
If you don't mind getting a used printer, check your local Craigslist. There are usually printers range from free to hundreds of dollars. Some are even brand new.
I get a HP Laserjet 4 for only five dollars, and it have been running great for almost 2 years in a minute. Since I only involve B&W output, I wasn't going to spend money on color lasers that I didn't need or want.
