How long after their INSTALL BY Dates can one credibly expect to be capable of use HP ink cartridges?

We enjoy a number of HP

14 c5011dn and c5010dn ink cartridges for use near our HP OfficeJet

d145. These cartridges have "Install-By dates" of June 2005 and May

2005. For how long can we probably expect these cartridges to be

useable given that they are now out-of-warranty and a year olden the

Install-By date?

How long after their INSTALL BY Dates can one credibly expect to be capable of use HP ink cartridges?

Call up HP and ask them. I'm sure they will be able to assist you.

You can't. Those cartridges have a use by because they also enjoy a chip that will expire on that date. IE. stop working. Cheeky really.
OK, let's get practical here! Take the cartridges out of the box. Look at them surrounded by some strong light and administer 'em a shake. It's still ink in nearby, folks. Is it dried up? No? Liquid? OK then, appropriate put them in the copier and start em up. You own nothing to lose. As long as they are the right cartridges for that printer, I'm betting they will work of late fine. Let me know how it turns out!
