how does one take a USB TO PARALLEL -BI-DIRECTIONAL Leed to work near epson color 440 stylus piece of equipment to an older?

First, what operating system are you using? Second, why do you need a USB TO PARALLEL -BI-DIRECTIONAL Leed(sp) on an frail computer? All old computers hold parallel ports built in. Third, what keep saying that the USB cable is not accredited; the printer? the computer?

I have no perception what you are doing by the question you asked.

Just return with a new computer.
The give somebody the third degree is not how to do it, it is better to ask why you would want to? Modern USB printers, complete with a videotape, are available new for as little as $30. Why would you want to mess next to an old parallel printer, earnings up to $60 for cartridges (2 x $30) when you can get a up to date one for $30? Throw that old printer away!
Generally, whenever you attempt to convert from one type of cable to another, you are going to hold issues.

If the printer is saying that it doesn't not see the usb cable, it just resources that the usb to parrallel adapter probably will not work for that printer.

My suggestion would be to return the USB to Parallel adapter and buy a USB card for one of the PCI slots in your computer and later just plug the printer into that instead.. If the computer is not too prehistoric that is.

This would across the world only work if you have win98 or better.
