how do you set printer up for two computers? one is hooked up through router.?
Just hook the printer up to your computer as usual. Typically this would be a desktop. Then on the computer that it is connected to - share the printer. Then the other computer can tag on a printer and find the shared printer to print to.
Set up the printer on the first machine. Then, turn to START | SETTINGS | PRINTERS AND FAXES. Right-click the printer and select "properties." Go to the "sharing" tab and select "SHARE THIS PRINTER." Then give the share a label. Then you connect to the printer fromt the other machine by going through START | SETTINGS | PRINTERS AND FAXES | ADD A PRINTER. Check A Network printer consequently follow the instructions.
